Fishing Report

Whiting have been caught at inskip point, In front of the blow and at Middle Rock.

Flathead, Bream and Whiting in front of the Cherry Venture.

Tailor are still getting caught at night.

Fishing has brightened up since the poor weather.

Places to Visit

Eli Creek

Eli Creek is the largest freshwater creek on the east coast of Fraser Island, pouring 80 megalitres of water into the sea each day. A boardwalk running along boths sides of the creek provde a great look at its beauty. Many visitors enjoy floating along with the fast flowing current.

Lake Wabby

A deep, emerald-green lake formed by the growing Hammerstone Sandblow blocking a fresh water creek forming a barrage dune lake. Lake Wabby is over 14 metres deep and can be accessed by walking track from the lookout inland from the lake.

Indian Head

65 metres above the Pacific Ocean, Indian Head forms an anchor for the sand that forms Fraser Island. Indian Head offers magnificent views and forms a perfect viewing platform for whale watching from June to October.
