Fishing Report

Estuary and Beach Fishing

Bream and Flathead fishing has been good on the bay side of Inskip point and large numbers of good quality crabs have also been caught.

The best bait has been prawn and squid.

Rainbow Beach has been ok but Teewah Beach has a lot of weed.

Remember Safety on the Beach this Christmas

Indigenous Tours are commencing, with an indigenous guide

Always swim or surf at a beach patrolled by lifesavers.

Swim between the red and yellow flags. They mark the safest areas to swim.

Read and obey the signs.

If you are unsure of conditions, ask a lifesaver.

Don't swim directly after a meal.

Don't swim under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

If you get into trouble in the water, don't panic signal for help,
float and wait for assistance.

Float with a rip current or undertow. Do not swim against it.

"REMEMBER: Slow Down when approaching people on
the beach they may not hear your approach
above the noise of the surf and children
can be unpredictable."
